Plaza Eboli-Alberto Contador Foundation Cycling School, in addition to the sports recreational area, has developed its training area which is taught in schools by dividing their contents according to the levels of the students.

OBJECTIVES

  • To promote sustainable mobility and the use of bicycles as an alternative means of transport.
  • Encourage healthy living habits using the bicycle as a way to perform physical activity.
  • Integrate, include and standardize the practice of cycling in people with disabilities.
  • Know the bicycles and their use in a safe and responsible way.
  • To internalize the norms and behaviors of respect to the others.
  • Know and respect the signage and the relative to the circulation and driving by bicycle.
  • Develop sense of responsibility as a bike driver.
  • Offer a formative-sporting alternative to existing ones.

THIRD OF PRIMARY: TYPES OF BIKES

  • Know the different types of existing bikes knowing how to differentiate them according to their structure, components and technology used for their manufacture.
  • To internalize its use highlighting aspects related to safety when driving them.
  • Become familiar with the different types of bicycles and adapted vehicles that are used to practice cycling in people with disabilities differentiating them according to disability.

 

PRIMARY ROOM: BICYCLE PARTS, COMPONENTS AND ACCESSORIES

  • Introduce the parts of the bicycles by differentiating between mountain and road bikes.
  • Know and internalize the mechanisms that make bicycles work and safety when using the most critical components in this regard.

 

FIFTH PRIMARY: BASIC TIPS AND BEHAVIOR TO RIDE A BIKE

  • To internalize the norms and behaviors of respect to the others
  • Take safety measures to protect against potential hazards
  • Knowledge and respect of the signs related to cycling.
  • Respect to other users of the public highway and to the norms and traffic signals as regulators of the displacements of people.
  • Develop sense of responsibility as a bike driver.
  • Choose places to use.
  • Rights and duties of users of bikes.

 

SIXTH OF PRIMARY: MECHANICS AND MAINTENANCE

  • Familiarize yourself with everything related to the correct maintenance of the bicycle, tools and basic repairs.
  • Know basic safety standards in the maintenance of key components in terms of their use.
